Base Oil - Almond

Almond oil protects and nourishes the skin, and is ideal for chapped or irritated skin due to its high concentration of trace minerals, linoleic acid, and Vitamins D and E. Sweet almond oil is obtained from the nut of the tree, which is native to Asia and the Mediterranean. This oil is a favorite carrier oil for essential oil aromatherapy blends, although it's often used by itself for moisturizing skin.

The oil has no scent and is a great nutrient for softening and conditioning the skin. It's been known to be especially suitable for eczema, itchy, dry and inflamed skin. It makes a fabulous massage oil. Sweet almond should be stored in a cool place or refrigerated. It is great for all skin types as an acting emollient and is best known for its ability to soften, soothe, and re-condition the skin. It is truly marvelous as a carrier oil and is equally superb for addition to body care products. Natural expeller pressed oil from raw almond kernels and exceptionally rich in fatty acids.
